Dear Exhibitor:

The last few years, we introduced some new regulations on exhibitor insurance. The new language was requested by our insurance carrier.

One of the regulations in the attached material--the recommendation that each exhibitor obtain individual Insurance--has been part of the Exhibitor's Manual for years, but was never a requirement. Such Certificates are routine for public events today. Simply show the attached regulations to your insurer and they should be able to provide you a certificate that meets Show requirements.

According to our insurance agent, Eberts and Harrison--"Under most circumstances, this certificate should come at NO CHARGE to the larger labor union insureds as participation in these events should be anticipated in their annual premiums. However, it is possible that some smaller labor unions or local unions may have policies that did NOT anticipate their participation in such events. If a charge has not been contemplated in the premium then the Carrier may elect to make a charge for this additional extension of coverage. Even so, the cost for a Certificate of Insurance to extend liability coverage should not exceed $250.00 per year and that cost should include unlimited participation in events for the entire policy period."
